posted by a parent/guardian, 2009-01-07 After several years of inadequate teaching/ curriculum I have given up hope on this school system. I have pulled my children out to be home schooled as so many of the other parents have already done. When evaluated for their new online classes my "doing great" children turned out to be almost two grade levels behind where they should have been. I knew they where behind but was shocked to learn how far . I asked for help, I was told they they where at the same place as the rest of the children, therefore doing just fine. I know now that these statements where false and that my children will go much further learning at home then in the public schools that we where told where so good. Also when at the Kindergarten level we asked for a evaluation for our one child whom we knew had problems, we where told the child was to young to test, only to find out that this was a lie. Our state tests children as young as three yrs. and if asked for the school must do them. Our trust was lost at that moment.
