I taught in the High School at San Perlita in the 1990's. I was the English teacher for grades 7-12. Living in that small community was a wonderful, warm and fulfilling experience.
What I still carry with me is the memory of a caring faculty and a community that wanted the best for their children, including personal integrity. As a student at SPHS my son was taught some very valuable life lessons as well as academics. That community of people made sure all children were given the best chance for an excellent education.
